Ice Ih

normal, hexagonal ice, H2O

Beware! The hydrogen atoms in ice Ih are statistically disordered over two sites.

This may give the impression that the structure contains H4O molecules, but this isn't the case. I have represented the disorder with translucent hydrogen atoms.

The low-temperature, ordered version of ice Ih is ice XI.
